Campus

Our Campus

Our campus in Riverton is situated on 2.25 acres with diverse ample outdoor space, shade from mature trees, agricultural areas and several beautiful buildings including the historic Crane House. The whole campus is a prepared environment, not just the Montessori classroom.  The layout encourages physical activity, encourages exploration and a sense of community.  The campus is close to both I-15 and Bangerter Highway, providing quick access, but still nestled in a community with a rural feel.

Buildings

Two of the three primary buildings are currently being utilized for classrooms.  The first building is the Crane House.  Built in 1916 the Crane house has seen many uses over the years, it was originally built on the land off of 12600 S and Redwood where Taco Bell now sits.  In this location it was a home for many years, eventually being converted to commercial uses including office space and a restaurant.  The building was moved to it's current location in 1996 and was restored and utilized for various civic activities including the Riverton City Museum through 2009.  Currently The Crane House is used for our Upper Elementary and Middle School class rooms as well as the Office, Library and Computer Lab.

The combined Carriage House and Cottage building situated behind (North) of the Crane House is underwent a complete remodel and renovation. It opened it's first classrooms for the 2015-2016 school year.  There are 4 beautiful spacious new classrooms housed here. These structures house our Lower Campus programs.

The third main building is the Old Barn.  We hope in the future it will be renovated and used for an auditorium / Gym.

Outdoor Environment

Ample Outdoor space that prompts exploration and free play is important for many aspects of children's social, emotional and academic development.  Our outdoor environment includes natural materials and hills for climbing on as well as traditional playground equipment, ample shade trees, fields for exploring, flower gardens, a peace garden and an urban agriculture area with vegetable gardens and egg laying chickens.
